EDCOAT Helps Customers through the Entire Process,
from Start to Finish

Jeff Williams, Vice President of Manufacturing, explains how EDCOAT frees up time, space, and resources for our customers.

CONSIDER EVERY ANGLE
"We really try to understand what the customer's business is and what that particular customer is trying to do, how they go to market, and how they differentiate themselves within the market. Do they need the flexibility, or do they need something that is harder? What are the critical aspects of this part that you are trying to maintain from post paint to prepaint? Is it the hardness, is it the color control, is it simply lowering your cost? The answers to these kinds of questions will determine what kind of paint system we will use for each individual order. "

WEIGHING THE VOLUME AND COST RATIO
"You have to look at the volume and ask, 'What do I have to be at to justify coil coating?' If you are looking for only a few hundred pounds, it's probably not going to make a lot of sense. It really is a high volume business."

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE IS KEY
"We are already set up and established to handle all of the legally required environmental protections, which is so much easier than it is to go out and build your own internal facility. If you have wash tanks, spray booths, and ovens — you are constantly dealing with all of those environmental regulations and requirements. If you outsource that to a pre-painted application, most of those go away."

FREE UP YOUR SPACE AND YOUR TIME
"Prepainting can free up a lot of square footage. By choosing EDCOAT, you can free up a tremendous amount of floor space for manufacturing. It also reduces a lot of your work in the process, and lets you focus on production and distribution."

GUARANTEEING THE MOST SEAMLESS FINISH
"The benefts of coil coating primarily lie in the design of the line. We are the last point in the distribution chain where the material is flat. From that point on, it is bent, stamped, and punched. But since we are the last point in the supply chain where it is flat, it makes your product easier to clean, easier to pre-treat, and easier to paint in a very consistent, controlled manner."

EDCOAT ALWAYS PUTS THE CUSTOMER FIRST
"We listen to people. We want to understand what your business is. We want to understand what you are trying to accomplish and help you solve a problem. If we can't, we're going to get you in touch with somebody who can. We go above and beyond because we want to help you."
